The Temporary Works Supervisor course also known by the acronym TWSC is a one day CITB course recognised by organisations that include the Temporary Works Forum, CECA, UKCG, HSE and FMB.
TWSC is aimed at those that supervise temporary works or are intending to do so.
Open course dates for TWCS are available at venues throughout the United Kingdom, but dedicated courses can also be arranged where there are sufficient delegates.
The course Temporary Works Supervisor Course includes:
An awareness of the TWS aspects of BS5975: the Code of practice for temporary works procedures and the permissible stress design of falsework.
- The duties of the TWS (Temporary Works Supervisor).
- Legal requirements associated with temporary works and the TWS.
- Risk management – assessments, method statements and understanding the roles of others.
- The importance of communication, co-ordination, co-operation and competency (the '4Cs').
To pass the course delegates must attend the whole day of the course and successfully pass a multiple choice questionnaire at the end of the course.
Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will receive a certificate that is valid for 5 years.
