CITB (TWCTC) - Temporary Works Coordinator Training Course

This two-day CITB Temporary Works Coordinator Training Course (TWCTC) is aimed at those who have responsibility on site for managing all forms of temporary works; This includes site or project managers, senior management and those working with contractors.

Candidates must attend both days and upon successful completion of the course will receive a Temporary Works Coordinator qualification certificate accredited by the CITB. This is valid for 5 years.

Delegates must have previous experience of temporary works to be eligible for this Temporary Works Coordinator course. Those who do not have this, may benefit from attending a CITB (TWGATC) - Temporary Works General Awareness Training Course.

CITB Temporary Works Coordinator Course Detail 

The Temporary Works Coordinator course will enable delegates to understand the needs and duties of a Temporary Works Co-ordinator and will also give them both an overview of Temporary Works and in depth understanding of BS5975 (Code of practice for temporary works procedures and the permissible stress design of falsework).

This CITB course includes the following elements:

  • The importance of the 4 C’s - Communication, Co-ordination, Co-operation and Competency
  • The role of others on a construction site
  • Risk assessments
  • Method statements
  • Management of the temporary works process
  • Statutory aspects of temporary works

Delegates will be assessed throughout the day through group works, practical exercises and will be required to successfully pass a multiple-choice question paper.
