Environmental issues within the construction sector are increasingly taking centre stage and the one day Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme course (SEATS) is designed to deliver the basic environmental knowledge required within the sector.
The course is targeted at those with management or supervisory responsibilities within the construction sector.
Open course dates for the SEATS course are available at venues throughout the United Kingdom, but dedicated courses can also be arranged where there are sufficient delegates.
The SEATS course content includes:
- An awareness and basic understanding of Environmental Management Systems.
- The importance of complying with environmental regulations.
- The importance of being a considerate and responsible contractor and interaction with neighbours during the planning and construction phase.
- Archaeology and wildlife.
To pass the course delegates must attend the whole day of the course and successfully pass a multiple choice questionnaire at the end of the course.
Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will receive a certificate that is valid for 5 years.
